Northumbria Police assure St. Peter's residents and businesses our neighbourhood has a comparatively low number of crime incidents.
Nevertheless, everyone is advised that in recent months there have been a few occurences of crimes involving parked vehicles, homes and gardens.
Local Police office officers urge us all to be extra vigilant in ensuring property is secured and not left unlocked. This way opportunists passing through the neighbourhood should leave empty-handed, and not be tempted to return.
If you see anyone acting suspiciously - for instance trying to open car doors, wish to report a non-life-threatening crime in action, or anti-social behaviour then please call 101 (Northumbria Police). It is important to report all such crimes, as this helps the Police to monitor activity and deploy resources accordingly.
