NHS Newcastle are looking for volunteers to help with the COVID-pandemic vaccine programme in Newcastle supporting the main vaccination site at Newcastle Eagles basketball arena on Scotswood Road. The team there has provided more than 160,000 vaccines since December, vaccinating up to 3,000 people a day. A big push is now neede to make sure everyone in the City gets vaccinated before 19 July.
Volunteers are critical to the site. They help with check-in of patients, marshalling in the car park and the arena, and make sure everyone who comes for the vaccine has the best experience possible. Shifts are typically 8.30am-4pm, and full training is provided. If you can help out, please fill in the volunteer application form at https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=na7pEVrSKUGVKt7pDb-EIIEBJMy41m5Ntx3OPuwgehhUREhETDVNTFRVSjRBVTZNSDEwRUFUR0ZBOSQlQCN0PWcu.
