Volunteer to help Remembrance Sunday in Old Eldon Square, Newcastle

Volunteers are needed to string together the woollen poppies donated last year for Remembrance Sunday so that Old Eldon Square can be decorated again this year.

Please come to the Banquetting Hall, Civic Centre from 1.30pm - 2.30pm on 22 and 29 October. 

Weather permitting the plan is to tie the strings of poppies along the fencing around the square from 12pm on Monday 4 November – please come along to help.

Volunteers will also be needed to take down the display at 12pm on Tuesday 12 November (weather permitting).
