New measures to improve the flow of traffic have now arrived in the St. Peter’s neighbourhood.

Newcastle City Council has erected new St. Peter’s directional signs at each side of the Glasshouse Street and Walker Road junction.  These are intended to help St. Peter’s visitors find their way into the neighbourhood, after many years of them not arriving on their first attempt.

Secondly, and in the interests of both public safety and easier vehicle movement, further double-yellow lining has been introduced on St. Lawrence Road, Dobson Crescent and Bottlehouse Street.

These improvements were instigated by the Ward Councillors at the request of St. Peter’s Neighbourhood Association on behalf of businesses and residents. If you have any comments on traffic management in St. Peter’s, then please drop a line to secretary@stpetersnewcastle.co.uk.
