Earlier today, St. Peter's Volunteer Gardeners took to the neighbourhood to work for the first time this year.
Working in pairs, and in accordance with COVID-19 restrictions, the volunteers were out planting spring flowering classics such as primroses and dwarf daffodils. And ever with an eye on future years, several fruit saplings were planted too. Whilst these activities were underway, several more volunteers litterpicked the whole neighbourhood. All in all a great start to the volunteer gardening year in St. Peter's.
St. Peter's Volunteer Gardeners usually work from 9am - 11am each Tuesday morning. The group is open to everyone to join, and there is bound to be a task to suit what you might want to do. Simply turn up on a Tuesday or have a word with one of the volunteers. You will know who they are, they will be wearing their new high-vis blue branded vests.
