Ouseburn Open Studios 

Five of Ouseburn's wonderful galleries and studios are open for Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 March. See art and artists in some of the Valley's fascinating historic buildings:

  • The Biscuit Factory Saturday & Sunday 10am - 5pm 
  • Northern Print Saturday only 12pm - 5pm
  • 36 Lime Street Saturday & Sunday 10am - 5pm
  • Jim Edwards Studio Gallery Saturday & Sunday 10am - 5pm
  • Mushroom Works Saturday & Sunday 11am - 4pm

Special events in Victoria Tunnel

The Sounds of the Underground concert programme continues this month alongside our heritage tours:

  • The Maja Bugge solo cello concert booked out so fast, Maja is back for a second performance at 9.15pm on Saturday 16th March. Tickets available here.
  • Fuzzy Garage Rock Band Pit Pony are celebrating the launch of their new single 'Osaka'with a one-off audio visual performance. It will be loud! Tickets available here.

Steve Luck's next Atmospherica Underground piano concert on 5 April: Tickets available.

Ouseburn Culvert - Tuesday Talk

The next Tuesday Talk will be by John Robinson, Principal Engineer for flood risk management with Newcastle City Council, talking about the Culvert.

This culvert allows the Ouseburn to run underground from Jesmond Vale under the City Stadium built over a Victorian rubbish tip and emerge at the Viaduct.
