Saturday afternoon saw twelve young North East people working voluntarily towards their National Citizen Service (NCS) accreditation.

In their time in St. Peter's they litter-picked, weeded and cleared, as well as digging and hoeing the Dobson Crescent verge and Village Green.  Their combined efforts helped in improving the appearance of both areas.

The activity was the first organised this summer by the Association and NCS provider the charity Headliners.

A second group of young people will be voluntarily working in St. Peter's on Friday 17 August from 1.30pm.  If any St. Peter's residents or company staff would like to join them, then please drop a note to secretary@stpetersnewcastle.co.uk.
