Tuesday saw the regular neighbourhood volunteer gardening group planting out in brilliant early summer sunshine.
Fuelled by a neighbour's donation of plants to supplement plants purchased with their National Lottery Grant, the team gave the Fish with Two Heads a makeover.
St. Peter's Village Green also received further planting. Over the past two years the group and nearby Rowes Mews neighbours, have worked on the Village Green to reinstate its shape and appearance. Newcastle City Council has also been readily at hand in assisting the removal of many trucks of cuttings. Tuesdays' planting out added to the stock of plants planted out over the past year or so, and the group hopes to continue with further planting.
