Lock it or Lose it - beware of opportunists

Residents, businesess and people who work in St. Peter's are being urged to check that windows and doors of their homes, offices and cars are locked.

A recent spate of opportunist thefts throughout the day and night have seen property taken from unlocked cars, homes and gardens.

Nothumbria Police have asked that not only should actual criminal activity be reported, but also any people acting suspiciously in the neighbourhood.

Emergency calls for crimes in progress should be reported by calling 999.  Non-emergency calls or suspicious activity should be reported by calling Northumbria Police 101.    

Each month records of all calls are analysed, and help shape Neighbourhood Policing deployment for coming months.
