This year marks 25 years since Arcadea registered as a charity.
To celebrate the charity is going to revisit one of the organisation's most iconic projects, the Mass Observation. This is a project for disabled people everywhere.
In 1995, 300 disposable cameras were distributed to disabled people throughout Newcastle. Using these cameras everyone took photographs on exactly the same day. This resulted in an exhibition that offered a snapshot of our lives on that day, with your help Arcadea want to do this again.
The 1995 project was nominated for an award and was replicated in other parts of the country.
Disabled people from Newcastle can join in again documenting a single day in our lives, the day we have chosen is Tuesday 16th June. Please take photographs on this day only and send them, up to 5 photographs, to info@arcadea.org.
