Dance City in Newcastle upon Tyne now has 12 classes each week specifically for over-55s in tap, ballet, salsa, pilates, yoga and contemporary.

The classes give attendees a chance to try something new, to reignite a passion for dance, moving and to keep active.

Bodies are made to move and, regardless of age or ability, the teachers at Dance City believe that everyone can enjoy dance.

The teachers say that their class members have shown improvement in motor functions, coordination, mobility, and balance.

Feedback from one of the dancers: “I have definitely improved my memory and developed more pathways. Feel sharper and more on the ball.”
