The Byker Voscars
Do you know someone volunteering in the Byker Ward who deserves an award? Well, don't put it off and enter that person or organisation now! The winners will be announced at the Celebration Event next month.
Below are the categories:
Community Spirit Award (Young People) – making a special contribution to younger people in the community
Community Spirit Award (Older people) – making a special contribution to Older People in the community
Health Award – Contributing to the Health development and well-being of Byker Ward residents
Employment Award - Helping to develop skills or training opportunities within the Byker community
Housing / Environmental Award – Making a significant contribution to improving places to live within the Byker Ward
Outstanding Group / Service Award – A group or service provider going above and beyond to make a difference to residents in the Byker Ward
Outstanding contribution – making an outstanding contribution to the community of Byker
Lifetime Contribution – Contributing to the community of Byker over a number of years (10 years +)
Local Hero – A Byker resident and volunteer that show fantastic dedication to the community
