This year's St. Peter's Fete date is Saturday 1 July, 11am - 5pm. So please save the date, come along and have a fun afternoon.
The event will be the culmination of nearly six months' hard work by volunteers and supporting businesses in St. Peter's, Newcastle and across the region.
Work started at the start of the year with the formation of the volunteer group for the production of the 2017 St. Peter's Fete. Meeting fortnightly the group worked through the many highs and some lows of the first St. Peter's Fete, and quickly agreed a plan for this year's event. Still meeting fortnightly, the volunteers are happy to report that the arrangements are shaping up very nicely.
Attractions already confirmed include Tyne Boat Trips from St. Peter's Marina, Merchant's Tavern Barbecue, live music performers throughout the afternoon, children's entertainers and rides, a tremendous choice of some of the region's best arts and crafts vendors including cakemakers, jewellers, plants and shrubs, craft beer and cider, and street food vendors
It is not too late to join the volunteers. The more volunteers to help set-up, run stalls and then take down the event on Saturday 1 July, the better. Similarly, all kinds of prize donations for the St. Peter's fundraising raffle and tombola are very welcome. Either way, please get in touch by dropping a line to hello@stpetersnewcastle.co.uk - all hands and donations will be put to good use.
